Been a month! Had a huge guilty feeling for not eating good (& then I ending up eating more & more bad and felt more & more guilt - it’s real & it’s terrible - I have a lot of work to do on myself I know!) & MUCH MORE GUILT FOR NOT LOGGING!

And what happens then, is - if I don’t log - I also miss weighing myself more frequently - and then if I don’t know what my weight is - then I have no control on eating - because I don’t get to know that whatever I am eating is doing “what” to my body - and then this hiding cycle goes on & on - because this guilt feeling & rash eating keeps growing - but I don’t do anything to correct it - because I don’t want to feel bad - and on and on

So, first commitment I need to make is - to weigh myself everyday if I am at home (regardless of whatever, however was the day before)!

Realised I need to change everything - the way I do logging & have much mooooore patience. Because it’s not the same now as it was when I started loosing weight in the beginning. It was fast, way faster than how it is now. And I have hardly any patience & control left at this point. I need time & headspace to build it up again!

I crave for all sorts of tasty stuff (sandwiches, dosas) & sweet stuff- all the time now. And no use hiding now - I ate a looooot of them these past months. The sad part is - I ate & I didn’t enjoy - because I ended up feeling guilty & depressed in no time - becuase It was not one time eating for me - I am now in a cycle where I no more feel like eating the controlled diet that I used to eat before - it’s all tasty stuff that I keep wanting all the time!

I also realised that it happens whenever I have short trips - that I end up spoiling my entire eating cycle & go back to eating normal (which for me, the reality is - If I have to maintain weight - I can’t eat normal diet. I have to be more observant - because my body tends to gain weight in no time if I start eating sugar or carbs). So, I need to find a solution for this - that’s a TODO!

Also realised, with the pace of loosing weight & the amount of patience I have left now - the previous goal weights were very difficult to reach. It was just not happening for me!

So, I ended up breaking them down into (hopefully 🤞) this time very doable goals of 500 gms each. I know those small small wins & the “happy feeling” of reaching a goal weight, played the most important part in my “loosing weight” earlier. I need that again now - I need quick wins to keep myself motivated, I need to feel happy in the process & to keep myself on the track!

I will really work on doing better now! With that, starting again… I’m 300 gms to my next goal weight 🙂

well, today’s weight sums it up all! Have not beeing doing good with eating clean. Skipped the last week logging as well here.

It’s going to be extremely slow this time. I ate clean at some days, then non-clean following days & the cycle went on & on. And I’m sad (but happy) that monday’s weight is the reflection of all that - it’s the highest in last 2 weeks.

I need to be way more patient, work more harder (i.e. work at my will, and cravings, more harder)

Time to seriously start again! I’m going to start tracking my weight weekly!

Gained a bit more of a weight over this year (owing to two wonderful trips to Valencia, Spain & Bangalore, India and eating a lot of sweet breads & Mexican food! :smile: It’s extremely hard to go back to eating clean after weeks of eating all junk over vacations. The taste buds just fight with you with immense cravings!)

Reminding myself once again - Weight Loss (or maintenance) is a journey not a goal!

Ok, I am eating wrong.

I’m not stressing although. It’s me acknowleding that it is hard to let go off cravings sometimes.

Even though I know that eating all the junk is doing all bad to me, making me momentarily feel “only satisfied” (not good, because even when I’m eating, I am thinking of the later, out of guilt). It makes me feel all heavy and full and lazy for the rest of my day(s) and eventually making me eat even more to let go off that bad feeling. Hahaha, yea, this is what is actually happening!

But I’m reminding myself again. Fitness is not a destination, it’s a journey, it’s a way of life.

PS: some people might argue reading this, that what is the use of getting fit if you’re never ever going to enjoy, anything of all those appetizing food at all. Well, for me, I would say, I do eat them. I want to eat them ofcourse, a lot of them infact. But here is the thing, I want to eat them only at some time (when I’m on a vacation, or I’m travelling, or an occasion). But I don’t want to make them a habit, I don’t want to make them my way of life, I don’t want the food cravings to be dominant. I know eating healthy, eating lots of clean food, makes me feel even more happier any day over any of those appetizing junk food (which is very tasty, very very tasty but that taste remains just for the moment when I’m chewing it in my mouth. The moment it goes down to my gut, it is just something like any other thing I eat). So, yes, I do want to enjoy, but I want to be mindful that if I’m not going to take care of myself then journey backwards to 97 kgs is not going to take much time.

It is a serious note to myself, I care about myself more than anyone right now.

It took me a lot of work to accept myself, I don’t want to go back down the ditch again.

Hahaha, I have to be more gentle & patient with my body & the weight loss. There is nothing certain about it.

Well one good thing, this time the weight gain is more towards me building up muscles. Because, yea, I’ve been exercising regularly (so far, yes, from a month or so) & I was doing good with my mental conditions too. So, nothing to worry about. Weight loss is a slow process, that is. 🙂

Ok, I took a break early this november. And as expected, the weight jumped up by couple of kgs.

Which to me, is totally worth this time. I ate what all my heart wanted for a whole long week, everything junk food, sugar, lots of sugar, fried food, hahahahaha, literally looots of food.

And I gained only 2.6 kgs, which to me, feels like a real bargain.

Now, I am already a week ahead the break time, and today I weigh 60.9 kgs (I cheated yesterday too. 2 Barfis I ate, but ok now, no more sugar for me, promise!)

I’m no longer obese, no more overweight.

It was not just a weight loss journey for me, I am mentally transformed. I’m really happy & relieved right now! I’m loving myself!


Although, it’s not the end here, there is still more to go for me.

Now that the first bigger milestone is achieved, I will move towards getting into the ideal weight range for me.

So, while today I crossed the third goal weight milestone (again XD), I’ve come closer to the fourth one too. And this makes me so happy, that for a moment, I forgot all my other tensions, stressful things in the life. 🙂️

There’s yet a long way for me to actually touch the final goal weight, but at this point of time, I’m no longer afraid to face people in real life. I’m much comfortable with my body, with the way I look. I’m happier than ever before! 😊️

I really worked hard for it & I myself appreciate all my efforts now. ❤️

But I’m happy I’ve hit the third goal (and I celebrated as well by updating it here). Because, after logging and tracking for quite good long time, now I’m confident that it’s nothing but the diet variations that showed the increase, so it’s perfectly fine. It’ll go down with time and more consistent work. :)

Ok, this time I gained some weight! I mean although just 100gms from last saturday. But I gained a lot over the very early update I very fondly left here in the very beginning of this week. XD

Reason?

The dietician asked me to add a little to my current diet because all this while, I was eating much less than required. And that is why, I’m okay with this little weight gain.

But there is something good about this. I actually gained muscles this time. So, it’s an almost win for me. :)

(ok, honestly, I feel bad when the number increases on the scale. But I’ve learnt now, taking shortcuts are not good for long term (atleast in this weight loss journey). Only the steady & slow weight loss will thrive. So, HAVE SOME PATIENCE PRIYANKA! )

A good steady weight loss, I’m 1.3 kgs down from last week.

Although, I’m realising, I might have to work beyond the goals later. My muscle loss is something that is bothering me right now. Have to check with dietician about this, but later. Right now the focus is to reduce fat.

Btw, metabolic age turns down to 27 today. Now, 5 more years to go. XD

Lost 1.1 kgs since last week. The slope is mostly downwards and that is how I’m hoping it to be.

I’ll keep doing my work & I’ll keep showing up here. Now that, my own logs are turning to be my source of inspiration, I feel even more obliged to keep doing my work. :)

Knocked down my second goal weight today. And my metabolic age on scale also turned down to 28. I am double happy. :D

Although, I have a long journey yet to cover, I’ve come a long way since november last year. :)

This week marked the best progress so far. I lost 2 kilos of weight in a week. And also came much close to my second goal weight.

I am happy! :)

And now, I’m even more motivated to keep doing my work! \o/

(The weight loss is uncertain. Who knows if the number goes up again. So, I decided to celebrate today’s victory today itself.)

I’ve lost 10kgs from the day I came back home in March (due to the lockdown). Which also means, I’m 14.5 kgs down from the starting weight & 17.1 kgs down from the highest weight (from nov, 2019).

These number makes me super proud of myself today.🙂️

This is much much mucccch more than the highest weight I have ever lost in one go before.

In additon, my metabolic age on scale also slid down by 1. So, 29 from 30 now. It actually took me almost 7 months to get this number down by 1 today. :)

Ok’ish week.

600gms down from last week. But it was a veeeeery slow process this time.

Although, a good thing happened. I slid down to Overweight range from too high. I mean I’m still overweight but that is much much much better than falling above that.

That’s all. No good progress in the exercise. I think my body needs more rest & energy than I’m getting these days.

I’m realising everyday that I need to be really patient on this journey.

Here I go! (lost 1.3 kgs) 🎉️

Yesterday, (even after a gradual weight loss throughout the week) I gained a good odd 600gms of weight, which eventually made me lose all my hope for achieving the first gw today.

But it happened today and I’m very happy about it. :)

TIL, how good it is to divide the journey into multiple small milestones. If it wasn’t the first milestone, I wouldn’t have acknowledged my own efforts.

Anyways, a very bad record of exercise this week (2/7 if I do it today). I was super lethargic all throughout the week due to poor sleeping hours or I don’t know what.

Ok, no more excuses now. I will do better this week. :)

It was a total frustrating week. I’m trying to be more patient with the process though.

Lost a kilo weight, accompanied by muscle loss & just a little fat loss. And I missed 2 days of exercise, so that counts for 5/7. Really need to work more towards being consistent.

And the best part, I didn’t miss my 15-20 min exercise at all. \o/
